Defining general properties of a link type
The general properties of a link type include the name, color, and default direction.
Use the General page to set the following link type properties:
- Name
This is the name you have given to the link type. You can change it here as required. The name must be unique across all entity and link types.
- Comment
A further description of the use of this link type or any other comments you wish to make. This field is available during the configuration but will not appear anywhere in the Analyst's Notebook.
- Color
The color you specified when you defined the link type. You can change the color here as required. This color will be used to chart all links of this type.
- Strength
Select the required line strength from the drop-down list. This strength will be used to chart all links of this type.
- Width
Select the required line width from the drop-down list. This width will be used to chart all links of this type.
- Default direction
If no other direction is specified, this is the direction that will be used on the chart. Select the required direction from the drop-down list. You can use code lists to interpret field values in a link type on the Field Properties of a Link Type page by clicking the Code list Configuration button.
