Viewing relationship properties

A relationship can appear: on the Database Page between two tables, in the Type structure dialog between two tables, and as a link end on the Types Page. At any time, you can look at the properties of a relationship by right-clicking on the relationship and selecting Properties.

The relationship properties provide details of the following:

  • The tables (or types) at each end of the relationship and their fields.
  • That the relationship is many-to-one. Note that one-to-one relationships are not supported in iBridge Designer.
  • Whether the relationship was suggested by the database or created by you.
  • Whether you have confirmed the relationship. If the relationship was suggested by the database, you must set the confirmed status if you want to use it but if you created the relationship, the status will be automatically set as confirmed.
  • Whether you have stated that the relationship has referential integrity.
