Showing and hiding tables

You may wish to hide some of the tables shown on the Database panel if you are only interested in one aspect of your database structure at the current time, or you may wish to show tables that you have previously hidden.

Hiding tables

To hide a table, right-click on the table heading select Hide. Any relationships involving this table will also be hidden but will reappear if you subsequently show the table.

Showing tables

To show a hidden table:

  1. Set the display options for the table tree view to display all the tables by turning on the All option in the List box.
  2. Right-click on the table you want to show in the tables list and select Show.

If the table is hidden, it will become visible and will be selected.

If the table is already visible, it will be selected.

If you cannot see the table in the list, it may be that you are only choosing to list tables or list views. To decide whether to show tables, views, system tables and so on, right-click on the tree view background or database name and select Table Types. Turn on the check boxes beside the items you wish to display in the tree view. The tables listed depend on the available tables specified in the configuration's Properties dialog.
