Yes or No fields
Click a Yes or No field to select the option or to deselect it.
The field is:
- Turned on when a check mark is shown in the box, which corresponds to Yes.
- Turned off when there is no check mark, which corresponds to No.
In some situations, for example when you are trying to Find records, there is a third setting that means 'either' the Yes or No value.
Note: When you import Yes or No fields from a text file into SQL Server databases, the default for
blank values is usually set to 'No'. This is useful where a Yes or No field is left
blank intentionally for 'No'. If other values in your source data are used to represent
'Yes', for example 'X', you should convert these to 'Yes', 'Y', 'y' or '1' before you
import the data.
