Archiving audit logs

You can reduce the size of the audit logs and security logs for a database by archiving some of the records in them.

When you create an archive, iBase Audit Viewer writes the log entries to the archive, then deletes the log entries and audit history from the audit log.

The format of the archive file depends on the database format:

For iBase databases in SQL Server format, the audit log is held in a separate SQL Server database.
For iBase databases in Microsoft Access format, the audit log is held as a password-protected .idla database file, which you can open in Microsoft Access.
