Viewing relationship details

In i2 Explore, you discover relationships between records through the highlight panels and the visualization. To see exactly how records are connected, you can use the find path feature between any two of your flagged records.

To find and interact with connections between two records:

  1. On the Records of interest page, select the two records that you want to investigate.

The Find path button at the top of the list is enabled.

  2. Click Find path.

If the records are connected, i2 Explore displays a representation of the shortest path between them. If there are multiple paths of the same length, the system displays all of them.

In this example, the two selected records ("Gene Hendricks" and "Montego Import Company") are connected through four degrees of separation, by five possible routes.

Just like everywhere else in the application, you can interact with the names and flags of records in this representation to investigate them further.
