Getting started with the Web Client

Welcome to the Web Client, i2's tool for visualizing and working with data in your browser. Like i2's other visualization apps, the Web Client represents your data as entities and links on charts.

• Entities represent objects of interest in your data - for example people, events, accounts, or crimes.
• Links represent connections between entities - like relationships between people, or transactions between accounts.
• Entities and links have properties whose values describe them. For example, a person entity might have properties like "Family name" or "Date of birth". A transaction link might have a property named "Amount".

Putting entities and links on a chart allows you to see how they are related. By arranging entities and links in a way that makes sense to you, you can uncover patterns and insights that might not be obvious from looking at the raw data.
