Example: Finding links between entities

How to find 'David Young', and all of the accounts that he owns. You can then find any transactions between David Young's accounts.

This example assumes that the Accounts Example 3 database is already open in Analyst's Notebook, and that the default charting settings are set.
  1. Find David Young:
    1. Right-click on the background of an empty chart, and select Accounts Example 3 > Find.
    2. Select Person from the list, and type Y into Last Name.
    3. Click Find.
  2. Select 'David Young' and click OK to add him to your chart.
  3. Ensuring that 'David Young' is selected on your chart surface, right-click, and select Accounts Example 3 > Expand.
    3 Accounts and 2 meetings are added to the chart linked to David Young.
  4. To find links connecting any of the 3 accounts, select the accounts, and with your cusor over one of the accounts, right-click, and select Accounts Example 3 > Find Connecting Links.
    3 links, indicating transactions between David's accounts are added to the chart.
