Settings

When you log in to the Information Store, you can choose to change some default settings. This gives you more control over application behavior.

Procedure

  1. Click the arrow next to your Username in the ribbon.

  2. Click Settings to open the i2 Analyze Settings dialog.

  3. Select the behavior you want to change.

  4. Click OK.

Double-click entities

When you double-click an entity record on the chart, by default the Record Inspector opens. You can change this behavior to perform Expand instead. Select the radio button next to Expands Information Store Records. When you double-click any entity record from the current Information Store, expanded records from the store are copied to the chart. If you double-click any selected record when multiple records are selected, the expand operation is applied to all selected Information Store records. You can hold shift when you double-click an entity record to use Expand with Conditions and filter your expand results. You cannot use double-click to expand records that are not present in the Information Store. If you double-click a link record, the Record Inspector opens. The behavior persists until you change it.

Default charting scheme

When you create a new chart, the charting scheme defaults to the last used scheme. You can set the charting scheme for new charts to default to a particular scheme. Select your default charting scheme from the drop-down list in i2 Analyze Settings. This scheme persists until you select an alternative.

i2 Maps

If your map provider is set to i2 Maps, the default behavior is to automatically add i2 Analyze records containing geospatial data to the map. The i2 Maps checkbox in i2 Analyze Settings is selected by default, matching the application's Add records automatically setting. You can choose to uncheck the option so that records are not added automatically for new charts.

  • Charts created before the automatic add to map feature was introduced open with the same setting as i2 Analyze Settings.

  • Charts created after the automatic add to map feature was introduced open with the setting that was saved with the chart.

When you create a new chart the automatic add to map feature adheres to i2 Analyze Settings. If you already have the option unchecked in the Settings dialog, records are not automatically added to the map.

The setting takes effect for any new charts you create, and persists until you change it.

Display pictures

You can choose to use image URLs from source references as pictures for entities on the chart. The image from the lead record's most recent source reference is used in place of the entity's icon. Click the checkbox to select the option.

You can also choose to use this option on charts that have more than 1000 images, although this can affect performance.
