Showing database information

You can display the database information of one or more entities or links

  1. Select the entities and links for which you wish to view the database information.

If you have more than one database open, the chart items you select do not all have to be from the same database. Selected items can be a mixture of entities and links.

If a single item originated from more than one database (as a result of a merge operation), it will be listed multiple times, once for each database.

Note: If this takes a long time, a Pause button is available. Click the button to temporarily halt the Show. You can then check to see if the information your require has been displayed yet. Click it again to continue.
  2. If you have selected a single entity or link, the information is displayed in the Show dialog.
If you have selected more than one chart item, a list of the items is displayed down the left side of the dialog. This list indicates the item label and type together with the name of the database where the chart item is located. You may need to scroll to the right to see all of this information. You can click on any of the headers to sort the list according to that header.
  3. Click on one of the items in the list to display its details.
Each field for an entity is displayed. If you have selected a link, icons for the entities at either end of the link are also displayed. Double-click on an entity at the end of a link to view its database information. Links to other documents (hyperlinks) are colored blue and underlined. Click on each hyperlink to see the linked information.
