Field attachments

If you want to add documents or images that provide information about a specific field, but you don't need those documents to be indexed, you can use field attachments. Field attachments can only be used in SQL Server databases that are set up to use them.

Procedure

  • To add an attachment to a field:

    1. Open a record and select Edit.

    2. Select the attachment icon (a paperclip) next to the field name.

    3. Browse and select the attachment to add.

  • To save a local copy of an attachment:

    1. Open a record that contains an attachment.

    2. Select the attachment icon (a paperclip) next to the field name.

    3. Browse and select a location to save the file.
