Blocked file types
To reduce the risk of opening a file that might contain malicious code, iBase uses a blocklist of file types that you cannot open or view in the application. If you need to, you can add file types to (or remove them from) the list.
By default, iBase blocks files of all the following types from being opened:
.exe .scr .vbs .vb .js .xml .docm
.xps .iso .img .arj .lzh .r14 .r18
.r25 .tar .ace .zip .jar .com .bat
.cmd .msi .ws .wsf .scf .scr .pif
If you attempt to open a file of a blocked type, iBase gives you the option to save the file to your workstation, where you can open it outside the application.
The blocklist is stored in the Windows registry. If you have the necessary permissions, you can edit the list in the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\i2\iBase\8\UserSettings\BlockOpenFileTypes
After you edit the list, you must restart iBase for the changes to take effect.
