Mapping chart items in i2 Maps
When you're logged into an i2 Analyze server, and the records in your investigation contain location data in geospatial properties, you can visualize that information in the i2 Maps window.
Setting the map provider
To use i2 Maps, it must be configured as the map provider in Analyst's Notebook. If you included the i2 Esri Maps feature during installation, you need to change a setting:
In the application ribbon, click the Analyze tab.
In the Gain Insight group, click Map Provider to display the menu.
Note: If you didn't install i2 Esri Maps, the Map Provider button is not present.
Click i2 Maps to set the active map provider.
Opening the i2 Maps window
Even when i2 Maps is the active map provider, you can't open the i2 Maps window until you have logged into an i2 Analyze server at least once.
After you've logged in, the Maps button in the Gain Insight group is enabled, and you can click it to open the i2 Maps window.
By default, i2 Maps uses the base map that your system administrator configured. Click the Settings button to change this and other map settings.
