Mapping chart items
When a chart item - or an i2 Analyze record in a chart item - contains location-based information, you can visualize that information by adding the item to a map. Analyst's Notebook offers different approaches to mapping that you can select from according to your needs.
If you're investigating events that occurred in a particular set of locations, mapping chart items can help you to understand the relationships between them, or with other events that occurred nearby.
For a chart that contains classic Analyst's Notebook items whose properties include location data, you can use i2 Esri Maps to represent that data. If you included the i2 Esri Maps feature when you installed Analyst's Notebook, this is the default option.
For a chart whose items contain i2 Analyze records that include location data, you can use i2 Maps to represent that data.
To see the location data in another mapping solution, you can export it from Analyst's Notebook in KML/KMZ format.
