Running a batch import or export
A batch import and export can either be triggered to run manually, or by using the iBase Scheduler. If you are importing or exporting large volumes of data, you might want to run batch specifications when your system is less busy.
About this task
To schedule a batch import or export, you can use iBase Scheduler, which is available from the All apps (or All Programs) group of the Windows Start menu: i2 iBase > Tools > iBase Scheduler Configuration.
If a batch import fails with the message Invalid procedure call or argument, your account might not have the privileges needed to run the Scheduler service. In Windows Services, change the i2 iBase Scheduler service to Log On as Administrator. If you are still unable to run the service, ask your system administrator to grant the necessary user privileges.
Note: This message is associated with batch imports triggered by using Scheduler. Manually running batch specifications does not fail in the same way.
Procedure
To manually run an existing batch specification:
In the Database Explorer view, right-click either Import Batch Specifications or Export Batch Specifications.
From the menu, select List.
Load the required batch specification by double-clicking.
Review the details of the batch specification.
When you are ready to run the batch specification, click Run.
