Using the Select functions
The Select menu is located on the Analyst's Notebook ribbon toolbar, and provides a variety of different options for selecting records on the chart.

Select tools help you to reduce visual overload on the chart, and focus on specific data of interest. For example, the Singleton Entities option selects all entities on the current chart that are not connected to any other entity. These entities might be isolated data points that do not contribute to the overall analysis, and can be temporarily hidden to improve chart clarity. You could use Copy to New Chart to move them to a separate chart for further investigation, while keeping your main chart focused on the interconnected data. Also a large amount of unconnected entities might indicate data quality issues, such as an incomplete data import.
Similarly, the Leaf Entities option selects all entities that are only connected to one other entity. These entities might represent peripheral data points that are less relevant to the core analysis. By selecting and hiding these leaf entities, you can streamline the chart to highlight the more significant data points. This helps in focusing on the main relationships and patterns within the data, making it easier to derive insights. If you need to reduce data for export or reporting, you can select and delete leaf entities to focus on the key connections while minimizing distractions from less relevant information.
