Advanced Settings
You can set advanced user options, that not only affect your user, but also other users that are using iBase locally. To change settings that affect all users of this computer, you require write access to the Settings.xml file.
Option | Description |

User Templates Folder | Path name of the folder that contains templates for creating new databases. |
Temporary Files Folder |
Path name of the folder for temporary files. These files are created when, for example, you use View to edit a document specified in a document type field. |
Command Group File | Path name of the Access database that organizes the iBase command access control. |
Icon List File |
Path name of the file that lists all the available icons when, for example, you are editing an
Icon list.
Note: For more information about editing an icon list, and add custom icons, see Customizing your icon set. |
Workgroup Templates Folder | Path name of the folder that contains database templates that are available to all local users. |
Graphics Folder | Path name of the folder that contains the icons that are used in, for example, the Database Explorer and menu items (but not the entity, or entity type, icons). |
Number of records to be displayed before auto-pausing | The number of records to be displayed before an automatic pause. This setting is only used in
situations where the number of records need to be restricted. Specify '0' to disable
auto-pausing. Note: Because this setting can impact performance, contact your system administrator
before you modify the default. |
Database Password | The password required to open the iBase Microsoft Access database. Note: A 20-character
password is generated for you when the database is created. You should keep a record of this
password as it will be required if, for example, that you need to repair the database using
Microsoft Access utilities. |
