Working with badges on links
Badges in Analyst's Notebook act as concise, visual cues directly on links. Badges provide immediate, context-rich insights into statuses or noteworthy attributes. This can help to streamline the analytical workflow.
About this task
Applying badges to links on your chart can quickly convey status, warnings, or other characteristics. This is useful because badges provide at-a-glance context without the need to open a more detailed view. Link badges are positioned before or after the link label.
Procedure
To add a badge to a link:

Select your target link on the chart.
Go to the Style tab of the ribbon menu.
Click the Badges option in the Link Style section to open the set badge position menu.
Set the badge position before or after the link label. There are six positions to choose from, and you also apply the last badge you used.
Choose the symbol you want to apply. The dialog defaults to All. You can select a different category from the list, use your own custom symbols, or use the search bar to find specific symbols.
Use the Clear options to remove a badge. You can clear badges by symbol, by position, or Clear all to remove every badge.
Note: You can use Reset Style on the Style tab to return chart items to their default style, and this might also include badges depending on the default style settings. To temporarily hide badges, clear the Badges option on the View tab. This hides badges from display but does not remove them from the chart items. To show the hidden badges again, re-select the Badges option.
