Working with badges on entities
Badges in Analyst's Notebook act as concise, visual cues directly on entities. Badges provide immediate, context-rich insights into statuses or noteworthy attributes. This can help to streamline the analytical workflow.
About this task
Applying badges to entities on your chart can quickly convey status, warnings, or other characteristics. This is useful because badges provide at-a-glance context without the need to open a more detailed view. Entity badges can be added around the perimeter of the entity's icon in up to six positions.
Procedure
To add a badge to an entity:

Select your target entity, or entities, on the chart.
Go to the Style tab of the ribbon menu.
Click the Badges option in the Entity Style section to open the set badge position menu.
Set the position where you would like your badge to display. There are six positions available: upper left, upper right, center left, center right, lower left, and lower right. You can also apply the last badge you used from the badge position menu.
Choose the symbol you want to apply. The dialog defaults to All. You can select a different category from the list, use your own custom symbols, or use the search bar to find specific symbols.
Click the symbol to apply it to your entities. You can apply multiple badges to the same entity.
Use the Clear options to remove a badge. You can clear badges by symbol, by position, or choose Clear all to remove every badge.
