Installing iBase Extended Features
When you use the Custom setup to install iBase, you can choose which options to include from the available iBase Extended Features.
The iBase Installation Manager offers the Custom setup option when you first install iBase, and if you want to modify an existing installation. Click the Extended Features icon in the list, and select the features you want to include in the installation.
Feature Name | Description |

Coordinate Extensions Option | Enables you to convert coordinates from one format to another, and provides tools to perform geographical queries. |
Database Replication Option | Enables the copying of data from a central iBase database to one or more iBase databases. (Chargeable component) |
GIS Interfaces | Enables use of GIS mapping applications. Analysis tools in the mapping application allow visual analysis of entities and links plotted on maps. |
Plate Analysis | A dedicated environment designed to help manage and analyze Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) data. Plate Analysis only works with SQL Server databases. (Chargeable component) |
Tools | Includes Audit Viewer to view and query the iBase audit logs. Database Configuration allows you to manage connections to SQL Server databases, and Repair Compact repairs damaged iBase Microsoft Access databases. |
Scheduler | iBase Scheduler enables automatic scheduling for imports and exports. It comprises several distinct components that can be set up to comply with a variety of network and database configurations. |
Schema Update | Enables easier application of schema changes. Changes only need to be made once and are applied to other databases using the Update Database Schema command in iBase Designer. |
Chart Item Extractor | Extracts data from Analyst's Notebook charts for storage in iBase databases. |
