Adding or editing a legend badge entry
You can add or edit a legend badge entry.
Procedure
Navigate to the Publish tab on the ribbon menu. In the Prepare section, click Legend. If your chart does not contain a legend, the Legend Population Option window is displayed. You can populate the legend using the items currently shown on the chart, or begin with a clear Edit Legend window.
Note: If you choose to start with a clear legend, check that Properties > Show on chart is selected.
In the Edit Legend window, click Badge.
In the Description box, enter the text to appear in the legend for that badge.
Click Select to choose the symbol that you want to apply as a badge. The Choose a symbol dialog defaults to All, but you can select a different category from the list, use your own custom symbols, or use the search bar to find specific symbols.
Click OK to confirm the entry and return to the Edit Legend window.
Click Populate to open the Populate Legend dialog. You can use the Badges checkbox on this dialog to include badges in your legend. Deselect the checkbox to ensure badges are excluded.
Tip: To edit an existing entry, either double-click the entry to be edited, or select it and click Edit. The Edit Legend Badge Entry window is shown, in which you can edit the entry.
